I have always had a relationship to my horoscope- always.
Just recently, I wondered if Andy Warhol too, had a ‘thing’ for astrology.
I have begun reading Andy Warhol’s horoscope weekly as I read his diaries in search of some powerful connections between the mastermind Andy Warhol and Andy Warhol the Leo.
My favorite site to check out Horoscopes is Rob Brezsny’s Free Will Astrology.
The Horoscope for August 30, 2012 reads:
In the spirit of Sesame Street, I’m happy to announce that this week is brought to you by the letter T, the number 2, and the color blue. Here are some of the “T” words you should put extra emphasis on: togetherness, trade-offs, tact, timeliness, tapestry, testability, thoroughness, teamwork, and Themis (goddess of order and justice). To bolster your mastery of the number 2, meditate on interdependence, balance, and collaboration. As for blue, remember that its presence tends to bring stability and depth.
* SACRED ADVERTISEMENT Like all of us, you have desires for things that you don’t really need and aren’t good for you. But you shouldn’t disparage yourself for having them, nor should you conclude that every desire is tainted. Rather, think of your misguided longings as the bumbling, amateur expressions of a faculty that will one day be far more expert. They’re how you practice as you work toward the goal of becoming a master of desire. It may take a while, but eventually you will
get the hang of wanting things that are really good for you, and good for everyone else, too.
And I don’t even know where to start!!!!!!
It’ sort of easy when you dissect the first part of this, all those T-words are easily traceable to anyone, not just Leo’s.
However, the sacred advertisement is super spot on if you take a second to think about it. ‘Things you don’t really need’ as ‘bumbling, amateur expressions of a faculty that will one day be far more expert.’
When Andy said: “An artist is someone who produces things that people don’t need to have but that he— for some reason— thinks it would be a good idea to give them.”
I would say that ‘some reason’ is the free will of astrology!
